Japanese Gardens

They have a rather large Japanese garden here in Portland and I went the other day to check it out because it was free admission day. The place is amazing and beautiful, the pictures do not do it justice. Because of the free admission there were hundreds of people there so it was very difficult to take a good picture but I am excited to back in the spring when the trees and flowers are in bloom.

These last two were taken just outside the japanese garden, the steps lead up to someone's front yard.

Ever notice there is a fine line between art and crap

I call this last one "Chick from a Hitchcock film makes a daring escape and hides in the shadows from Mr. Sinister"

Man on a bench

Announcing the most exciting new website since http://www.dokimos.org/ajff/ . (Bennett Johnson highly recommends checking that link out) Bennett Johnson has a new webpage where you can bathe your soul in the purifying beauty of Bennett Johnson's photography. It is a lot easier to navigate and has an ability to browse older posts through an archive tab with photo categories. Also if you are convinced by the pretentious third person self referrals that Bennett Johnson is a real artist, and therefore above you, then you will no doubt desire to hang Bennett Johnson's art in your home. The new website allows you to order prints, postcards, ecards or download images for use on phones, computers, etc. You can also leave comments of adoration and respect. Hope you enjoy it. A special thanks to my friend Dave for making the website for me. I will still post photos here, but the other site is cooler. Also I will give a free print of a photo of choice to anyone (besides Katie and Dave) who can tell me what the above Dagguerreotype and the title Man on a bench have in common. Check it out at www.manonabench.com
