Keep Portland Weird

These were taken at the Thursday street fair and market that is held once a month in Portland on the last Thursday of each month. It is a venue for artists of all kinds to perform and share their work. It was my first time attending and there were a lot of interesting people there.

These were taken at the summit of Tom, Dick and Harry, a peak in Oregon. As the sun was setting clouds and fog from the valley below and behind me started coming up over the peak. For a lot of the time I was enveloped in the clouds and couldn't see anything. I took these shots as breaks in the clouds would roll through.

Street photography........also known as creep photography.

Recently, I have become interested in "street photography". This is my first time really trying it out. These were taken at the water front July 4th celebration in Portland. I feel really uneasy taking pictures of strangers and I had this constant image running through my mind of seeing some guy through my lens walk rapidly towards me and punch me in the face for taking his picture. I don't want to "click my own shutter" but I am absolutely in love with the first image.
